Love your product and sell more

Friends, do you know that your love for your product has a direct bearing on your sales results?

Do you want to know how your love and connection to your product can help you sell more? So, read on…

My name is Rakesh Sharma and I empower business owners and salespeople to grow their business and maximize their profits.

Today I am going to share with you a very easy formula for getting tons of sales!

But before I begin, I strongly recommend that you bar all the distractions, read carefully and make pointers for yourself. This will help you engrave the knowledge I am about to share deep into your subconscious. Now let’s begin.

Selling is a process of dealing with people. Everyone wants to be practical and modest in their approach. But if you want to be a superstar in selling, let me tell you, I am sure you can be one!  To realize this dream, first you need to start believing and acting as a sales star.

Richard batch says- “you are never given a wish without also been given the power to make it come true.

You can only be a super seller if you love what you sell!  The problem with lots of people is that deep within they don’t really like the product they are selling.  Most of the salespeople do not question about the product their employers demand them to sell. They half-heartedly read and mug up the product specifications and sometimes don’t even bother to do that as well! And so, when they face the prospect their communication lacks the required passion and enthusiasm. Don’t be a fool by thinking that you can fool the prospect. Customer is smart, he can easily and unfailingly pick up clues from your body language and resonate with your rejection for the product and the sale will never close.

A salesperson must have deep affection and ownership for the product which he is selling. He must have an unshaking faith that the product he is selling is essential for improving the quality of life of the prospect.  He must believe that he is doing a great service to the society by selling the particular product in question. Then and only then will he close the sale! Selling is a win-win game, and if the sale does not happen it becomes a lose-lose for seller as well as for the prospect.

Now let me share with you the four important ingredients which will communicate your love for your product.

  1. Believe in your product and company:  as a salesperson you must have hundred percent resolute faith that your product precisely delivers what it promises and is totally worth customer’s hard-earned money.  You must have a faith in your company. Many times, sellers lack belief in their product and services because of frequent complaints which they may receive from some dissatisfied customers.  But as a salesperson one must analyze the situation realistically and must realize the fact that at times there can be some service failure.  In this world nothing is perfect! You must remember that while a customer may understand a service failure or product malfunction, he is disappointed by the lack of empathy and careless customer service and poor resolution of customer complaints.  So, a salesperson must analyze how well a complaint is handled. This will help in development of a pristine belief on the product and company. The salesperson must study the features which benefit the customer and the voice of the satisfied customers.
  2. Believe that your product will improve the prospect’s quality of life: As a salesperson you must know specifically what value your product adds to the life of the customer. Any and every product is purchased for some purpose, resolving some issue, pain or problem. So, as a star salesperson you must realize that how the customers life has been improved after using your product. For this you can directly enquire some satisfied customers.  You can also take certain testimonials.  The voice of satisfied customers and testimonials will improve your conviction about your product and will help you understand how the customer is getting benefited after purchasing your product.  This information gives a very high sense of confidence to the salesperson and brings conviction into his sales pitch.  When you believe that your product will improve the prospect life in the promised way and you communicate the same you will be able to convince the customer for taking a decision to buy instantly!
  3.  Be enthusiastic about your product:  as a salesperson if you are convinced that your product is going to make the prospect life easier, you really feel encouraged and enthusiastic about it.  You feel happy that your product is such a great value to the prospect life.  You feel good that your product does what it claims.  “Sales is the transfer of enthusiasm”.  If you are able to transfer your enthusiasm with your upbeat voice and smiling face and positive body language, then you will be able to motivate your prospect to buy.  Enthusiasm is contagious and everybody wants to feel motivated, happy and wants to feel good so your positive body language must be able to communicate all the positive reasons for your prospect to buy your products.  The sale is bound to happen in such a situation!
  4. Take care of your prospect:  your prospect is also a fellow human, values his time and emotions.  So you must empathize with your prospect.  Make sure that you fix appointments, reach on time for the appointment.  Don’t make him wait. And stand by your commitments. A prospect must be communicated that he is getting the value for his money.  Every prospect wants to deal with a fair salesperson so fulfill your promise with a high level of integrity and honesty.  In case of self doubt, you may under commit. “Under committing and over delivering will win you a customer forever!”  If you love your prospect and show your care and empathy, then you will be able to build a strong relationship with him and he will reward you with sale.

So friends these are the four elements which indicate that you love what you sell.  If you really love what you said then you will be able to make tons of sales.  The psychology behind this philosophy is that you are true to yourself and also you are honest in dealing with your prospect.  When you deal genuinely with your prospect and you feel strongly that you are offering a product which the customer really needs then the sale will happen.
