What are the Key Questions to be asked during a Sales Interview? 

This is a very important question and very frequently asked by most of my clients.

I suggest that you must Use the “Structured interview approach” for questioning. In this method all key questions are documented before interview. This helps in ensuring that you cover all the relevant evaluation areas and no important questions are missed. Along with, other questions, two very important questions must be asked from a candidate.

They are:

1.Mr. Candidate, Tell me about the last two significant deals you won due to your own proactive efforts? Share the whole story from beginning till end?

•Pl explain, How did you identify the opportunity?

How did you get in? Describe the discovery process you adopted?

•Tell me about the various stake holders? How did you build interest and consensus?

•Take me through the sequence of the various conversation and meetings all way from prospecting, presenting, proposing, negotiating till closing the deal?

2.Let us assume we hired you, and you started on the first of coming month. After going through your induction, we hand over you your business cards and sales kit. Then we let you go to your territory.

•Pl sketch out your plan, how would you approach your job?

•Where would you go, to learn more or for help when you need it?

•If your manager sits down with you after 90 days what accomplishment shall you share with him?

•What accomplishment will you share after 30 days? Friends Depending upon the need of your situation, You can add more questions to this list.
